Harvey is an experienced clinician who has recently joined the team, working part-time on Monday and Tuesday evenings in our Birmingham clinic. Harvey has worked in mental health services since 2001 and completed his clinical psychology training at the University of East Anglia. Following this, Harvey moved back to the West Midlands and has worked in child and adolescent mental health services for over 16 years helping children, young people and their families with a wide range of difficulties, including working with complexity and also in paediatric psychology.

Work Experience

He values and respects helping people identify a sense of hope and resilience in dealing with their difficulties. Harvey is currently working in an NHS service for 0-19 years old as the Psychological Therapies Lead. He is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council. Harvey is an accredited practitioner with the BABCP completing his Post-Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Post-Graduate Certificate in Supervision at the University of Reading. In addition, Harvey has completed training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) in 2019. 

Some of the difficulties Harvey is able to support both adults and children include:

Sleep issues, anxiety disorders including OCD, Panic attacks, worry, health anxiety, phobias,  exam and work stress.  as well as developmental difficulties such as  Autism, ADHD and and ADD to help improve self esteem and confidence.

Outside of work, Harvey had discovered a keen interest in cooking for the family, often found experimenting with sweet dishes!
