Mental Health First Aid Training (MHFA)
Adults

Mental health difficulties affect over 25% of the UK population. However these difficulties are often missed or treated differently to more obvious physical illnesses and disabilities. Given the prevalence of mental health issues in our modern society, it is vital that employees and staff recognise the signs and are confident to approach, their friends and colleagues.
We work with companies and employees to help bring awareness to Mental health difficulties and teach practical mental health first aid skills through our Mental Health First Aid Training. We offer 1 and two day training courses which includes helping companies to develop a pathway for those team members experiencing difficulties.

Performance and productivity

Employee performance and productivity are understandably importance for companies in all sectors. The way in which staff engage with the business, management and its customers can be directly linked to their personal situation, what motivates them, and the values to which they adhere.
We work with both employers and employees to help them work more effectively with one another, with a view to improving both productivity levels, and personal performance.

Stress management
Adults

Stress is a physical response – the result of the body switching to ‘fight or flight’ mode, and releasing a complex mix of hormones and chemicals prepare the body for action. This causes a number of reactions, from blood being diverted to muscles to shutting down unnecessary bodily functions such as digestion.
While this response can help us survive dangerous situations, it is often also the way we respond in inappropriate situations, reducing brain function and our ability to think clearly. In turn, if our bodies are in a state of stress for long periods, it can be detrimental to our health with side effects such as increased blood pressure and a decrease in libido.

Work/life balance
Adults

Work is a fact of life for most of us, taking up a large proportion of your waking time. However, it is only one part of your life and is part of the bigger picture that makes up your personality and happiness. If you are unable to achieve a balance between work and other elements of your life – family, friends, travel and relaxation for example – it is likely to have an adverse effect on your health, wellbeing and mood. We can help ensure that both employers and employees are educated to understand this and that steps are taken to maintain this balance in the face of the inevitable pressures of daily life.
